P3 Scottish day

Miss Sweeney and the children of Primary 3 performed their Scottish song ‘Katie Bairdie’ to the classes that came to visit.  The boys and girls said they had a fun day learning about the Scottish topics that other classes had done.  P3 were perfect presenters when telling others all the facts they had learned about David Livingstone.  They are looking forward to their assembly about David Livingstone on Friday 6th February.

Visit from Richard Stewart Nursery

IMAG0219

Richard Stewart Nursery children visited our class on Thursday 22nd January. They brought a floorbook to show us what they had been learning about Scotland, and we passed on facts we had learned to them. We recited some Scottish poems to them, gave them a tour of our Scottish art work then we all had some shortbread and a drink of juice. We enjoyed meeting some of the new P1s who will come to Chapelside in August.

Secret Student

Well done Primary 6/7 on your Christmas Secret Student. Now let’s get your thinking caps on and write some suggestions for the February treat. Remember I will only accept sensible suggestions from the blog.  I can’t wait to see what you all come up with. We will vote this Friday!
