Please let any friends, relatives or neighbours know if they have a child due to be enrolled.

Emergency Contact Numbers
In the event of an emergency e.g. medical issue or a school closure it is very important that the school has contacts
whose phone numbers are in use. Can you please ensure that we have the most up to date contacts, this avoids
unnecessary stress for everyone.

A copy of this years’ handbook will be uploaded onto NLC website this week:
I hope you find this informative and please note that the holidays for session 2016 / 2017 are included in the handbook.
If you wish to discuss any aspect of the handbook please don’t hesitate to contact the school. (Please note holidays may
be subject to change). Any requests for a hard copy of the handbook should be made to the school office.

We now have a twitter account! You can follow us on
Please continue to check your child’s bag for letters but we will endeavour to post important news on Twitter.

Our School Vision and Values
I am pleased to share with you the outcome of our consultation with Parents, Pupils and Staff on what everyone thinks
the core values are which everyone in Chapelside Primary will follow. We will be engaging the children in various
activities to practice these values.

1. We will follow instructions immediately.
2. We will be respectful to others at all times.
3. We shall not hurt each other.
4. We shall try our best at all times.
5. We shall keep safe at all times.

These will be displayed around the school and we would appreciate your participation in ensuring your child knows and
implements these in school. These will form the basis of our House counters and certificates.

Primary 3/4 will be having their assembly on Friday 22 January at 9.15am. All parents are warmly invited to attend.

Mid-term Break
The school will be closed on

Monday 8 February 2016 – HOLIDAY
Tuesday 9 February 2016 – HOLIDAY
Wednesday 10 February 2016 – INSERVICE – Pupils do not attend.
The school will re-open to pupils on Thursday 11 February 2016 at 8.55am.

Yours sincerely
