Mad Hatter’s Tea Party

Get your Mad Hatter’s thinking caps on for our tea party in May. We’ve already had one fabulous hat brought in by Ellie. Remember the dress code to the party shall be a hat! I’m really looking forward to see your creations

Honeywell Habitats

What an extremely productive day we had at Honeywell Habitats. We took advantage of the lovely afternoon and what a difference we made! We moved and refurbished the mini beast mansion, we tried to repair the bottle greenhouse AGAIN and we removed lots of litter and pieces of wood that were lying about about the garden. It was an exhausting afternoon but well worth it. These activities all help us achieve our John Muir award.

Noise Level

I just wondered if you would like to see my fantastic idea about reducing noise level, it has worked really well in P3.  You can borrow this idea if you want.  What do you think Madeleine?  Haha

Solar Eclipse

We were all very excited to see the end of the solar eclipse. After patientl y waiting there was a little break in the clouds which lasted just long enough for us all to see a tiny crescent of sun. It was amazing!

Fun Thursday

For our fun afternoon we choose to have some challenges and some free time. We had an absolute ball doing the challenges! The challenges set up were

1. The Chopstick Challenge

2. The Oreo Challenge

3. The Starburst Challenge

4. The Pyramid Challenge

5. The Bouncy Ball Challenge

The Oreo Challenge was my favourite! It was fun to see the faces you all pulled as you tried to get the Oreo into your mouths. Have a look at the photos and you can see what a fabulous afternoon we had.

Solar Eclipse

Lots of children have been asking to go out to try to see the Solar Eclipse on Friday. There are many safety issues that we have to consider before undertaking such an activity. There are lots of advice on various websites that I would encourage you all to look at. Whilst I was reading some of the information I noticed that the newspaper, The Daily Record, are giving away free ‘eclipse safety sunglasses’ to every reader on Thursday. Perhaps we could all try to get a pair of these glasses ( ask mums, dads, grannies, papas etc!!)on Thursday to watch the eclipse on Friday morning. Don’t worry if you aren’t able to source a pair, there are other options open to us.

Good luck on finding a pair!
