Room 3 have been learning about magnets. They talked about where we see magnets being used in everyday life and explored magnetic materials. Today, the children got to design and create a game that uses a magnet. We had mazes, fishing games, racing games and even a pool table! Well done Room 3. What an excellent days work!
How can we make the balloons go higher? How can we make the cars go faster and travel further? These were the questions room 3 were asked to investigate. They had great fun finding the answers!
Room 3 are learning about forces this term. They have been discussing the forces of push and pull and had fun going on a Push Or Pull? hunt round the classroom. They realised that we use push and pull forces many times throughout our day.
Room 3 enjoyed a day of Eco Schools’ activites on Monday 1st November. They watched Climate Change presentations from Room 2 and Room 4, decorated a pebble to add a personal touch to our school grounds and went on a litter picking mission in our school grounds. The children also presented in front of the class to put themselves foward for a position on the School Sustainability Committee. Congratulations to Hanna and Murrin who were chosen to represent our class.
Room 3 successfully lit a fire and made some toast as part of their outdoor learning day. Miss Donald and Miss Thompson were very impressed with the children’s attitude towards safey around the fire and how all children contributed to the success of the activity. Well done all!
We had great fun learning about what primary and secondary sources are. We became Time Detectives and travelled back in time to make comparisons about living then and living now, and how we know there are differences. This is what were working towards achieving:
