This week we have been Learning about shapes. The children have been learning the names of 2D shapes with some children even knowing what an octagon is and how many sides it has! Today we went outdoors in the lovely weather to sort 2D and 3D shapes into different categories. The children also had fun creating 2D pictures and 3D towers. ⭕️ 🔲🔷🔺🛑
P1/2 have been playing really well together and forming really good friendships with each other. It’s lovely to see them getting on so well ☺️
The children have been working on their line drawing skills by practising drawing people. They worked really hard to create these super master pieces 🎨👨🏻🎨👩🏽🎨
They made to the end of their first week 🙌🏼👏🏼🎉🤩 and what a week it’s been! The children were rewarded with a visit to the park this afternoon where they had lots of fun playing with their friends.
Today the children worked with a buddy for a maths task and they all worked very well together.
What an exciting day having all the children back to school looking so smart in their uniforms and excited for their first day. Our new P1s had great fun and just took it all in their stride. Our brilliant P2s were very helpful at showing them the ropes. Below are some pictures of finding their pegs and getting organised at their seats, snacks at playtime, having a scavenger hunt around the class, meeting everyone in the school, fun at lunch time and playing with new and old friends
