Primary 1 Transition Programme

You and your child will be invited to the school for three sessions.  One of these will focus on Literacy, another on Numeracy and then Health and Wellbeing.  During the session, your child will be offered different activities to participate in, along with our existing Primary 1 pupils.  You will be able to assist your child during this, as well as seeing how your child’s learning will be developed and the resources s/he will be using.  If your child is not coming from our own Nursery Class, a member of staff will visit your child in their pre-school setting so they will have a familiar face when they visit the school.  

When your child begins school in August they will be in the same class as the Primary 1 pupils they met during their transition visits.  Nursery Staff will also come to Primary 1 to help children settle.
