  • P5-7 How to train a dragon

P5-7 have really enjoyed reading the novel “How to train your dragon”.  They have developed their reading skills as well as talking and listening, sharing ideas and opinions.

Pupils were working on writing instructions/procedures and used this genre of writing to create instructions about ‘How to catch a dragon’.  Pupils used a storyboard first, to identify the steps and to experiment with how diagrams/illustrations can support the reader’s understanding of the text.  Here are some examples.

  • P5-7 Favourite Scientists

Everyone has been working hard to apply their research skills on scientists who have made significant discoveries.  Pupils selected their own style of presentation, using keynote, pic collage, pages and notes.  Here are a few snaps of their work.
