Children with additional support needs can obtain further help with literacy from our department.
Issues that can arise can be linked to illegible handwriting and poor punctuation. Given the nature of the English language, problems with spelling are frequent and and some students struggle with reading a text with understanding.
The support we give will always depend on the specific needs of the child, and various approaches to helping these children is at our disposal. We use Read, Write, Inc; an effective programme for rapidly improving the reading and writing ability of children.
