This year – for once – EDL was on a school day; Tuesday 26\/9\/23.\u00a0 So we were in step with the whole of Europe.\u00a0 Our BGE pupils were all busy doing EDL activities – S1 had a treasure hunt, S2 had a quiz and S3 were making posters of unusual idioms in foreign languages.\u00a0 We also had a food tasting of various items from\u00a0 European countries at lunchtime, and many pupils came and tried, among other things, camembert cheese , German sunflower bread, tortilla, pesto pasta and much else.<\/p>\n

Mrs O’Neill held her, now famous, Bush Tucker Challenge, where brave volunteers were blindfolded and tried tastes of 5, rather more unusual, foods, like sauerkraut and olives, with a prize for not spitting any out.\u00a0 Lots of adventurous palates out there!\u00a0 Well done to everyone who took part; more photos to follow.<\/span><\/p>\n
