S5/6 German Bavaria Brauhaus visit 2025

So, as a reward for hard work through the year, and after most of the Talking Performances had taken place, the S5/6 German class went to Glasgow for a German lunch at the Bavaria Brauhaus.  It was all very enjoyable!

Finlay checking where the bus was.
Waiting for the bus. It was cold but not wet, at least.

We had a nice spot in the Brauhaus.
Schweinshaxe. Traditional Bavarian pork dish with red cabbage and sauerkraut.
Kieran ‘two lunches please’ Coombs, enjoying his food.
Finlay trying the Schweinshaxe.
The kids were taken upstairs to see the painting of Alisdair Gray, Glaswiegian writer and artist, done by one of his apprentices. You have to stand upstairs at the back so the parts come into focus.
Dylan’s Schwarzwälderkirschtorte.
Alexander had the vanilla ice cream.
Desserts for the girls.
Finlay’s Strudel with custard.
So tiring, going on a school trip!
Casey was a bit camera shy but we got her anyway.
Austeja was really feeling the cold.
But she had enough energy to try and catch a pigeon to take home. Fortunately the pigeon didn’t want to be caught.
