We are delighted to introduce our School Captains, Amber & Keira and our Vice Captains, Katie & Jessica, for session 2026-27. We know they will do an excellent job in encouraging all our young people to display our school values. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Every pupil at Calderhead High School\u00a0is allocated to a House, which they will remain attached to throughout their time at Calderhead. It is expected that every pupil will take pride in their House and strive to make it the best it can be.<\/p>\n

There are four Houses in the House System: Burns<\/span>, Fleming, Lochhead and Wallace.\u00a0<\/strong>Each House has a Principal Teacher of Pupil Support as its House Leader, and two S6 House Captains and S5 House Prefects. They will also have their own colour\/tartan:<\/span><\/p>\n

After a competitive application and interview process, we would like to congratulate our newly appointed officials:<\/p>\n

Each House has\u00a0its own allocated notice board in the social area, which\u00a0is kept up to date with relevant House information by House Leaders, Captains and Prefects.<\/p>\n

A House Cup will be competed for annually, and will be won by the House that has accumulated the most House points throughout the session. House points can be won in a variety of ways: merits, uniform, wider achievement, subject performance, staff recommendation and so on.<\/p>\n

In PE, each pupil will wear a t-shirt matching their House colour. T-shirts can be purchased from Academy Uniforms via the school or from a retailer of choice.<\/p>\n

All staff will be attached to a House and will participate in House events throughout each session, including a variety of Inter-House events.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
