2022-2023<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Vision Schools Award – Level 1<\/h3>\n

We were absolutely thrilled to be awarded our Level 1 Vision Schools Award for Holocaust Education in February – only the second school in North Lanarkshire to do so. Our current and previous Ambassadors, along with Miss Stirling and Mr McConnachie, attended a ceremony at the Scottish Parliament<\/a> to officially be recognised.<\/p>\n

This year’s Ambassadors have been on an extraordinary Lessons From Auschwitz journey – through displays, whole school initiatives, their trip to Auschwitz and even speaking at the Scottish Parliament! We are so proud of them and all their hard work – see below.<\/p>\n

Lindsay was asked to speak at the Scottish Parliament with other Ambassadors with the Holocaust Educational Trust.<\/a><\/p>\n

2021-2022<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

This year’s S5 Ambassadors have begun completing work on their Lessons From Auschwitz journey – they’ve been working really hard! Click here<\/a> to see a demonstration of their learning so far.<\/p>\n

They have also begun work on a display in school to help educate our learners about the Holocaust.<\/p>\n

Holocaust Memorial Day 2022<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This year’s ambassadors organised a whole school event on Holocaust Memorial Day through a virtual assembly during registration. Each pupil was educated on the Holocaust itself and then each pupil designed their own flame which then contributed to the whole display above and the ceremony below.<\/p>\n
