During this time they follow a broad, general education involving a wide variety of technical tasks in addition to developing their knowledge and understanding of the subject. This is a follow on from the S1 course, whereby pupils develop their basic skills from S1 in preparation for study in S3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Design &amp; Manufacture:<\/strong> Pupils design and manufacture a wide variety of products from wood, metal and plastic. They learn how to use a wide variety of hand tools and workshop safety.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Graphic Communication:<\/strong> Pupils learn how to freehand sketch as well as produce traditional technical drawings. They learn about colour theory, logo design as well as develop their rendering skills<\/p>\n<p><strong>CAD (Computer Aider Design):<\/strong> Pupils undertake a variety of 2-D &amp; 3-D computer based tasks using software such as 2-D Design,\u00a0Autodesk Inventor &amp; Serif Pageplus<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Course Intro Pupils in S2 visit the Technical Department once a week.
