Monday 1st February 2021
Firstly, you will be recording all your answers in the S1 World Tour Design 2 document. You can read through the instructions found in S1 World Tour Design INSTRUCTIONS 2 document to further help you. Make sure you use the same cities from last week!
You will be using the website www.worldwebsites.com to find a stadium for each of your cities. You will need to find the capacity of this stadium – this means how many people can the stadium hold.
You will also be using the website www.travelsupermarket.com to find flights between each of your cities. Make sure you are searching for flights from City 1 -> City 2 and then flights from City 2 -> City 3. Make sure you record all information required in the boxes provided.
The deadline for this task to be completed is Friday at 3pm.
Monday 25th January 2021
This week, you will begin to design your own World Tour.
Firstly, you will need to choose three cities that you want your World Tour to take place in (it is important that you choose major cities e.g. New York, London, Amsterdam).
Next, you will be using the website www.trivago.co.uk. Here you will need to find a five-start hotel for each city you have chosen. Choose the hotel that you think looks the best. There is no budget so you can choose one which is as expensive as you like! In the document, you must type in the name and price of this hotel.
Lastly, you will need to find a nearby airport for this city. Please make sure you follow the instructions found in S1 World Tour Design Instructions to help you with each task.
The assignment is here:
The deadline for this task to be completed is Friday at 3pm.
Monday 18th January 2021
This week, you are asked to complete an internet research task. This will help to prepare you for the following week when you will begin to plan your own World Tour.
In Task 1, you need to find out what country each city belongs to. To help you find these answers, the best website to use is www.google.co.uk. For the first city, you could type into Google, “What country is London in?” You can type your answer in the boxes at the side.
In Task 2, you need to find TWO tourist attractions for each city. For the first city, you could type into Google, “Tourist attractions in Toronto”. As an example, two tourist attractions in Paris could be the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum.
In Task 3, you need to find the names of TWO people who are in each band. For the first band, you could type into Google, “Little Mix band members”. As an example, two members in the band One Direction could be Harry and Niall. If you can find their full names, even better!
In Task 4, you need to find 3 concerts that are taking place at The Hydro this year (fingers crossed). For this task, make sure you use the website www.ticketmaster.co.uk. Once on this website, make sure you type The Hydro into the search bar and you will be able to find the results. You need to state the name of the band/singer and the date/time of the concert.
The deadline for this task to be completed is Friday at 3pm. S1 World Tour Task 2
