Maths in real life

In maths this week, we are counting very large amounts of objects. Some of us are counting up to 100 and some of us are counting more than 100. We had a maths challenge today where we were stock taking just as shopkeepers have to do in real shops. We worked in pairs and we checked each others counting. We found out that an amount stays the same no matter who counts it, how fast or slow you count it or if you put the objects into a different container. We all think we would be great at stock taking in a real shop.
