Our postboys and postgirls deliver to the classroom mail boxes….
Meanwhile, back at the sorting office…
Our intrepid postal workers never rest!
While our “posties” tread the carpet…
And finally…
At last…
For the last couple of weeks, Primary 3 have been working on their own class enterprise; The Christmas Postal Service.
We discussed different company titles and voted for our favourite, “The Christmas Team Company.”
Then we went into action.
First, we chose our logo in a class competition. Des Kinnon’s red elf won the day.
Then we worked on completing a week’s rota of designated jobs. Each child chose which two jobs they would like to undertake.
Next, we started our advertising campaign, by making and distributing posters around the school. We also made personal stamp badges which we wore at our whole school assembly.
Finally, having made our company stamps, we were ready to run our postal service.
P3 have had a very busy and exciting day. We started by working with our friends from Drmpellier Park making lovely autumn pictures. Then we learned about adjectives and successfully worked on 2D and 3D shapes, what a morning! We loved our music with Mrs McIntyre but our day didn’t end there: At P.E we worked on improving our personal fitness which is part of our Health and Wellbeing topic this year. If that was today godness only knows what tomorrow will bring… Can’ t wait.
This afternoon we used the Green Cross Code to practice crossing the road safely.
We used the road at the back of the school and we now know how to cross the road safely.
We used our reading book to find naming words.
John said it was fun.
We were building up our numbers using hundred, tens and units.
Rhian said it was good and she enjoyed it.
Justin said he learned how to use a number fan.
