We used yoghurt, fruit and sprinkles to make our tray bake. We spooned and spread the yoghurt then added our fruit to the top before putting it in the freezer. We had it for snack the day after, it was lovely.
The children have been learning about 2d and 3d shapes around them. One of the opportunities they were engaged and interested in was exploring 2d shapes on the lightboard.
This week we had a visit from the fire brigade, the let us sit in the big fire engine and told us about their job.
We have been developing our literacy skills during the Language Land session. The children have been looking, listening, learning new vocabulary and categorising where the animals live.
We had a lovely discussion today about healthy foods today during snack. The children were naming the fruits and discussing how fruit, milk and water are good for their teeth, skin and give them muscles.
We went a walk outdoors to explore how the environment changes as we go into Autumn. The children discovered leaves on the ground that had fallen from the trees and bushes. We discussed the different colours of the leaves and looked at the flowers and berries on the bushes. We looked underneath the bushes and found a giant slug and a spiders web on the bush.
We have been exploring the daffodil bulbs we planted and discussing the different parts of the plant and wondering when they will flower.
We have been acting out Little Miss Muffet and decided to draw the spider beside us.
