We have been reading the story “Giraffes can’t dance” and talking and learning about our feelings. We talked about how Gerald was feeling sad when the animals laughed at him then how he was happy when he could dance. We made happy and sad faces.

Emotion Works

We have been using visuals and talking about and singing ‘The Sandy Boys/Girls’ song . We have been exploring and discussing emotion words, body sensations, emotion triggers, behaviour and emotion regulations during the song.

Registration for Nursery Children 2023-2024

Information for the Registration of 3-5 year old Nursery Children Session 2023/24

The council is now accepting applications for children who will be eligible for nursery in session 2023/2024. Applications should be completed and submitted to your first choice council nursery establishment or partner provider that are in a framework agreement with the council no later than Friday 10 March 2023.

St Andrew’s Day

We had a great day celebrating St Andrew’s Day. We made our own sunshine tartan, had a wellie throwing contest, had shortbread and loved our Scottish dancing.

We have been enjoying, exploring and investigating the pumpkins 🎃. We also had great fun at our hallowe’en party all dressed up and dancing with the glow sticks in the sensory room.

Numeracy

We have been learning to develop our independence skills at snack. We have been counting 2 scoops of cereal and half filling our cups with milk or water.

We have been having a great time with the dinosaurs, we have built them houses using the bricks, letting them climb on the mountain and using them to make greats prints with.
