St Bartholomew's Nursery Class

We have been learning about the features of a book and developing our book handling skills. We have been sharing our favourite stories with each other and adults in the nursery.

We have been learning about sharing large groups of items into smaller groups equally. We have been using the playdough balls we made, the snack food and the dishes in the house area.

We have been listening to stories, looking at books and talking about the features of a book. We have been drawing pictures and making our own stories, making our own marks or asking an adult to scribe to write our own stories.

We have been using the loose part items to develop our counting skills using a range of numbers from 0 to 10 forwards and backwards.

We enjoyed a spooktacular day in the Sunshine room’s pumpkin patch.

We have been using the dice to develop our counting and matching the amount of conkers to the number of dots on the dice, and filling our containers right to the top.

We have been busy looking after our garden planting seeds and plants

. We are watching them grow our parents and carers where looking at our garden to see our hard work.

We have been exploring the different coloured lollipop sticks and using them to copy and complete patterns using 2 colours.

We have been exploring 2d shapes making houses for our animals and dinosaurs, creating a long shape walk, putting shapes together to make other shapes. We have been discussing the sides and curves on the different shapes.
