Last week, a group of us went with Miss Duffy to the big P.1 classroom. When we arrived there was a star with a net over it – it had been caught!

We thought of things we would like to catch if we had a net. We all had a great imagination!

After that, we all listened to the story ‘How to Catch a Star’ by Oliver Jeffers. We all had a cushion and a cuddly listening to the story.

This week during Talk for Writing time, we thought of different ways we could catch our star. Miss Duffy had some ideas we could use but some of us came up with our own ideas too. They were so creative! We drew pictures and Miss Duffy wrote what we said. The pictures help us tell our stories.
