Some of our parents and carers joined us yesterday for tea. As our story of the month is ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’, we decided to recreate the story with our families.
We loved sharing our snack with our families and we got to show them around our nursery as well.

This week we knew we were inviting our parents/carers to join us for snack in the nursery. As our story of the month is ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’, we invited our families to come for tea.
We needed some supplies so some of us got the bus to Asda and bought some scones and biscuits for our afternoon tea.
While we were out, we spent time talking about road safety and we experienced our local bus. In Asda we discussed prices of the things we were buying and the children were able to recognise many numerals throughout the shop. We even got to scan the shopping on the self scanner before Mrs Brodie paid for the shopping.
We enjoyed sharing our trip with the rest of the children and adults when we got back to nursery.
This morning, all the children in the nursery took part in a sponsored obstacle course. The primary 7 children set up and helped with this and we had so much fun. All of the children took part in this, moving around safely with their friends.

We are still receiving sponsor forms and money but we will update the amount raised when it has been counted. Thank you to everyone for your kind donations already.
We celebrated Book Week Scotland last week by inviting our parents and carers to join us for a ‘stay and read’ session with their child. Parents told us that they enjoyed spending time with their children in nursery with a focus on reading. The children told us they would like their parents to join us more often.
Thank you to those who could make it to celebrate with us. We are hoping to host more stay and read sessions in the coming months.
Today we have had our Halloween Party. We played some party games, danced and took part in some fun Halloween activities.
