Health Update 6.3.26

Sickness

Just a reminder that in accordance with public health guidelines, children with diarrhoea and/or vomiting symptoms should stay off nursery until they have NO symptoms for at least 48 hours after an episode of diarrhoea and/or vomiting. We recognise that children may feel well within themselves long before they are symptom free, to keep everyone safe please adhere to NHS guidance and ensure your child is eating and drinking healthily before return. We appreciate your co-operation to keep everyone safe.

Headlice

Please remember it is your parental responsibility to check your child’s head on a regular basis for any signs of Head Lice or infection. The nursery can no longer inform families of any outbreaks of head lice.

Please follow advice given by NHS that checks should be made on a weekly/fortnightly basis.

If your child has Head Lice, they should be treated before returning to nursery. Please seek advice from NHS, local pharmacist or your GP about which treatments are most effective. Further information can be found at
