We started off the term by finishing off some work on 3 D shape.<\/p>\n

We are able to identify nets of some 3D shapes and then use these nets to build the shape.<\/p>\n

We used giant polydron in the Makerspace to do this.<\/p>\n

We counted the faces, edges and vertices of our shapes.<\/p>\n

Here are somethings we know about these shapes:<\/p>\n

Valentina – A cube has 6 faces and they are all square shaped.<\/p>\n

Craig – Cuboids have 6 faces and 12 edges.<\/p>\n

Violet – A square based pyramid has 5 faces, 8 edges and 5 vertices.<\/p>\n
