3D Shape in P3/4/5

We started off the term by finishing off some work on 3 D shape.

We are able to identify nets of some 3D shapes and then use these nets to build the shape.

We used giant polydron in the Makerspace to do this.

We counted the faces, edges and vertices of our shapes.

Here are somethings we know about these shapes:

Valentina – A cube has 6 faces and they are all square shaped.

Craig – Cuboids have 6 faces and 12 edges.

Violet – A square based pyramid has 5 faces, 8 edges and 5 vertices.
