It is important to keep practising your basic formal skills: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication & Division. Do a few every day but don’t spend too long on it. If you are getting them all right all the time, try harder ones or have a break and do something else.<\/p>\n

The Chilli Challenge<\/a> will keep you on your toes mentally but you should do some formal calculations everyday too. Try to get a parent of adult to set you some and check how you get on. Or use Gimme Some Sums<\/a> some make some up and mark them.<\/p>\n

Triangles and Squares<\/strong>: you should be multiplying and dividing up to 9999 by units, 10s and T&U. Adding and Subtracting to 9999.
\nPentagons<\/strong>: you should be multiplying and dividing 999 by units. Adding and Subtracting to 9999.
\nHexagons<\/strong>: Multiplying up to 999 by units, Adding and Subtracting to 999
\nOctagons<\/strong>: Adding and Subtracting to 999<\/p>\n

If you don’t have internet access you can use a set of playing card to make random number:<\/p>\n
