Their fundraising has benefited the school greatly e.g. purchase of extra resources, supporting the pupils\u2019 educational experiences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SCHOOL\/COMMUNITY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Links have been established with various agencies in the community:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Auchinloch Community Council<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have close links with the community council who have recently gifted all children in the school and nursery Christmas and Easter gifts. We support the work they do and invite them to school organised events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Church<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The school has links with Lenzie Union Parish Church as outlined in the section on Religious Education and Religious Observance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Senior Citizens\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contact is maintained with Senior Citizens in the area and they are invited to attend organised school activities e.g. Concerts, Daffodil Tea.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The school can be used for evening activities. Details can be obtained from the Community Letting agency<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nursery\/Playgroups<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contact is maintained with all playgroups and nurseries in the area particularly prior to times of infant enrolment and induction afternoons. Our own &#8211; Auchinloch Primary Nursery Class commenced in January 2006.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Police<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The community Police Officers make regular visits to the school during the session to talk on safety matters in general.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Auchinloch Primary accepts pupils from Chryston High School, Lenzie Academy and other local high schools on work experience placements during the session.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Community Links<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The school also has contact with the Libraries and other agencies in the local area.
