Allanton Primary School and Nursery Class

Today P1/2 (Room 6) went on their trip to Summerlee Museum. We have being learning about toys part of our Science topic and today we were learning about old and new toys.  We all had  great fun playing with the old and new toys and then making our own Christmas Santa toy. Here are some of the pictures to show you what we got up to.

 This was very tricky but we had a lot of fun trying to play with it.  This looked strange at first but now we know what to do with it.

P6/7 were set a challenge as part of their Forces topic.  They were challenged to build a balancing toy. They were given 3 weeks to complete their project and then showcased them to the class.

Primary 1/2 have been busy this week making Reindeer Noses for the Christmas Craft Fayre. Come and pop down to the fayre tonight to pick up your Reindeer Noses and other treats. Hope to see you there!

Room 1 have been busy making ‘sock snowmen’ to sell at the school’s Christmas Craft Fair tomorrow.

We all enjoyed a crazy hair day for Children in Need. We made Pudsey puppets and cakes. We had a lovely morning and donated £22.47 to this charity.

We are reading  the Gruffalo’s Child  in our Nursery and  making footprints and exploring different sizes.  We are also learning how to look after babies.
