The boys and girls in Primary 1 worked in teams to complete\u00a0 a series of numeracy missions outdoors! Mission\u00a0one was\u00a0a treasure hunt in the school playground and garden.\u00a0 Each team were given a number between 1 and 5 and they had to find representations of that number hidden around the school.\u00a0 Mission\u00a0two\u00a0challenged the children\u00a0to find natural materials\u00a0and\u00a0create\u00a0a pictorial representation of their team number.\u00a0 The children made great use of the outdoor environment by using sticks, leaves, stones and the school apple tree came in very handy!\u00a0\u00a0The final mission\u00a0was to\u00a0show off their\u00a0number formation skills\u00a0and decorate the playground with the chunky chalks.\u00a0\u00a0All missions were successfully\u00a0accomplished Primary 1, well done!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
