House & Vice House Captains 🗳

Exciting times in P7! A huge well done to everyone from P7’s who has campaigned to be this years House and Vice Captains. You all gave a fantastic speech.  It will certainly be a tough decision for the voters! Watch this space, results due to be announced on Monday!  

Fairtrade & Cooking Leadership Academy Treat

For our final leadership academy the pupils enjoyed preparing a treat of strawberries and bananas dipped in melted milk chocolate.  They also got to try white and dark chocolate.  All the ingredients were Fairtrade. Pupils also learned about the importance of Fairtrade and how it helps farmers around the world. Well done boys and girls for raising enough money from the sale of your flapjacks to enjoy your treat!!  Both

✂️ P4’s stained glass Fact Families Art’ 🖼!👏🏻

Primary 4 have been working really hard to learn their multiplication and division facts for the 7 times table! It’s a tricky one so we decided to create  our very own ‘Fact Families’ Art to help remind us that if you KNOW 1 fact, you actually KNOW 4   ✅ Well done Primary 4! Caterpillars in P2 – Days 6 to 9

All the caterpillars have changed into a cocoon. (Adam) During days 6 to 9 the caterpillars are going through lots of changes inside the chrysalis. We have to wait until they have hardened before moving them to a new habitat.   A huge congratulations to all the pupils in P2 as they confidently spoke for 1 minute about a famous Scot as part of their homework task.  I was blown away by your research and creativity preparing your own drawings or informative PowerPoints.  Thanks to all the people at home for supporting you in achieving this. 🌊 🌟🏆Marine Art Litter Competition Winners!👏🏻👏🏻

Keeping Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Beautiful! I am delighted to announce that our entry ‘SEA THE DAMAGE’ won first place in the Marine Art Litter Competition, within our area. 🌊 🥇 👏🏻 The judging panel, consisting of Line of Duty star Martin Compston and  Scotmid Co-operative were very impressed with  our creation. This is evident from their comments below: “Beautiful artwork which depicts clearly the harmful effects of pollution to our fish.”

P2 Parents Open Morning

Pupils in P2 were excited to make a healthy sandwich along with their parents/guardians. The ingredients for our sandwich were: wholemeal bread soft cheese spread cheddar cheese slice hommous lettuce ham Everyone really enjoyed making the sandwich and trying new foods.  The hommous was a new taste for P2 pupils and they decided they didn’t like it because of it’s texture and smell.  Well done for trying it anyway! 🙂

🌎 📖 World book day in P7 📖 🌎

  Children in P7 have enjoyed taking part in events in class and throughout the school, as part of world book day.  They enjoyed reading to primary 1 children, creating their own characters and short stories as well as taking part in the class team book quiz.
