Primary 1 have been learning all about money. The children have been using 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and 20p coins. They have enjoyed learning in different ways and especially enjoyed setting up a shop in the classroom. IMG_0634 Since the children all did such a wonderful job at learning their Scottish poem ‘Mince and Tatties’ by J.K Annand we thought we would share a clip of them all performing it.
The children have enjoyed playing a variety of different games like skittles and hook a duck and using different concrete materials like Lego and numicon to help with their subtraction. It is fun to learn in active ways!
This term we are learning about the weather so we were very excited to have lots of snowfall this morning. The children loved going outside and they said they could hear the snow crunching under their feet and thought the snow felt icy cold. Some children even built little snowmen It was lots of fun!
Primary 1 have been reading the Gruffalo in Scots. The children have loved hearing the story in Scot’s language and have found lots of words funny! We have been painting and decorating characters for our display and have enjoyed using sticks we have collected to decorate The Gruffalo.
We had a great time singing, dancing and playing games at our party. Everyone looked great and our party hats were brilliant! We were very lucky to have a very special visitor at our party……… Santa came! 🎅🏻 We were very excited to see him and he gave us all a little present. Now we can’t wait until Christmas Day!
Primary 1 have been busy designing and making their own party hats for their Christmas Party tomorrow. They had great help from the P7’s. I can’t wait to see the finished products tomorrow at the party 🎉 Well done boys and girls.
Last week Primary 6 enjoyed sorting the Christmas post and P1 pupils ensured it was delivered on time. Now P7 are back they are in charge of the delivery service. The postbox is located next to Ronnie the card machine. Remember to write the pupil name and class on each envelope and delivery to the class is guaranteed before Christmas. Last post 10 a.m. on Friday.
Primary 1 have been learning all about doubling numbers. We learned a doubles rap and had great fun singing and dancing along with the rap.
Primary 1 had a fun morning on Friday. We wrote letters to Santa and then walked along to the postbox and posted them into the postbox.
