What a busy time! Everyone at Aitkenhead is ready for the school show! We have learned our lines and songs and practised the dance moves. Now all we need to do is remember how to put them all together! Kidding!
Everyone is nervous but looking forward to next week. We can’t wait to show you the 2015 annual show. This year it is a traditional pantomime -Snow White!
Today we released our fish which are late alevin into the River Clyde at Strathclyde Park. We gave the fish names before we let them ago. We wish we could do this topic every year as we had such a great time. When we came back to school we counted how many fish had survived during our project. 77 fish from our 200 eggs survived, we worked this out as three eighths and 38% Not bad considering only 5% would survive if they had been laid in the wild.
Primary 6 had a wonderful week learning about volcanoes. We explored what might effect the volume of lava from a model volcano. The results were amazing! What did you think boys and girls?
