This course will be delivered across the school through a number of different departments including Social Subjects, English, Art and Performing Arts.<br \/>\nPupils will undertake the following topics in Social Subjects:<br \/>\n\u2022 Learning about Scotland<br \/>\n\u2022 Making a decision with a Scottish context<br \/>\n\u2022 Making a contrast with a Scottish context<br \/>\n\u2022 Organising and communicating information with a Scottish context<\/p>\n<p>Pupils will have the opportunity to choose a topic about Scotland and create a project &#8211; this will count towards their award.<\/p>\n<p>The Scottish Studies course is designed to give pupils a greater understanding of Scotland and they will look at a variety if topics, including: Where in the world is Scotland?, Scots language, Scottish identity, Scottish traditions, terrorism in Scotland and rights in Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>Details of the course can be found by clicking <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sqa.org.uk\/files_ccc\/ASScotStudSCQF2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All S1 pupils will have the opportunity to achieve an aware at SCQF Level 2 qualification in Scottish Studies.
