This course would benefit someone who is looking to progress on to Higher level in S6. Pupils who are also interested in media may also find this beneficial. There is no previous camera experience necessary or need to own a camera.
Pupils will learn about basic photography techniques including the use of lighting, composition and digital imaging. Pupils will also research and evaluate the work of other photographers. NPA Photography is a project-based course, therefore there is no formal exam. Candidates will instead be continually assessed through a practical assignment’s given.
Pupils will for develop and direct their own individual portfolios. If you are interested in this course you will be required to demonstrate initiative and must be willing to work on your projects out with school hours where necessary.
