At Advanced Higher level, pupils are responsible for planning their own course. Pupils choose to specialise in either Design or Expressive, following a theme or area that reflects their personal interests.
Most pupils use their Advanced Higher work to support entry to university or college courses where portfolio evidence is needed as part of their application. Other pupils undertake the course simply to further enhance their creative skills. This course requires pupils to work independently and manage their own time effectively.
