We NEED your help!
We are now collecting the sun book tokens to get free books for our nursery! Tokens can be found in the Sun newspaper and should be cut out and posted in the box within the nursery cloakroom or the box at the school office.
Thank you for your help and support with this collection campaign!
Odd socks day on Tuesday 12th November.
Wear odd socks to school to celebrate us all being unique and different!
We will be participating in lots of activities focused around anti-bullying week this week. We have lots of visitors coming to work with the children and we will be looking at how we can make a difference to stop bullying or what we can do if we experience bullying.
Change starts with us!
A HUGE well done to all of our ASPIRE award winners this week.
Well done to Scott Lambie in P5 who won our Head Teacher’s award and Flynn Graham in P3 who won our Principal Teacher’s award.
Primary 4 enjoyed learning new football skills during our P.E session outside with our visiting specialist.
Primary 4 had a great time visiting the Scottish Parliament last Friday. We enjoyed visiting the debating chamber and one group even got the opportunity to meet the deputy presiding officer.
P4 have been making the most of this glorious weather and have taken our literacy outdoors.
We enjoyed practising out spelling using chalk and some peaceful reading time in the playground too! Too good an opportunity to be missed!
Today we had our final Health Committee meeting of this year. We were busy evaluating all of the good work that we have done this year and started to look at planning next year too!
We finished off with a secret taste test of some fruits and vegetables. The favourite was definitely pomegranate seeds!
Primary 4 enjoyed learning more about the Scottish Parliament last week when our special visitor Mrs Miller came to visit Abronhill. We participated in electing our own party leaders, shared our manifestos, participated in our own election and an interactive quiz. We really enjoyed this visit and enjoyed being MSP’s for the afternoon and look forward to visiting the Scottish Parliament too!
Primary 4 have been busy this week researching our own topics to allow them to write their own non-fiction books. They have been researching, note taking and have begun to write their first few pages of their books. Great work P4!
