Hello Everybody,<\/p>\n
We are ambassadors of the RRS committee and we would like to share a message about children’s rights.\u00a0 The Right of the Month is the right to be heard – article 12 of the UNCRC.\u00a0 \u00a0The right to be heard is that everyone can say, and have their own opinions in a group discussion.\u00a0 According to article 12, children have the right to express their views in all matters affecting them.\u00a0 We want to make sure that everyone in Westfield Primary School has their rights.\u00a0 Every month we will choose a different right.\u00a0 We will look closely at the right and children will share their thoughts on it with everyone.\u00a0 The right of the month will be shared with classes at assemblies and will be displayed on our RRS Wall.\u00a0 We have talked about the difficulties with this right and we think that some people struggle to express themselves and some people struggle to listen.\u00a0 What we would like everyone to do is to be kind to those who struggle to listen and let children be heard.<\/p>\n
