Townhead Nursery – Digital Learning 25th January 2021

All parents/ carers should have received an email from NLC explaining the arrangements for January 2021. A copy of the letter is attached below.

The school will open from Wednesday 6th January until Friday 8th January for children of key workers and vulnerable families where childcare support will be provided.

Online Learning will commence on Monday the 11th of January until at least Monday the 18th of January for all other pupils.

Parents/ carers who are key workers should complete the form (sent via email on Monday or accessed via the link below). This should be sent to the mailbox: keyworkerschools@northlan.gov.uk.

A list of key worker categories is attached to the form. A copy of the form and catergories is attached below.

Children eligible for free school meals through financial assistance will receive £100 from the Scottish Government Covid Winter Hardship Fund by the end of the week.

We’ll pay this directly into bank accounts of eligible parents/carers on Friday the 18th of December 2020.

If you applied for free school meals due to low income after the 30th of November 2020, you are eligible for the Covid Winter Hardship payment and will received your payment in January 2021.

If your circumstances have changed recently and you would like to apply for your child to receive a free school meal, families have until the 22nd of December 2020 to submit an application for free school meals in order to receive a Winter Hardship payment early in the new year.

Update Tuesday the 4th of August 2020

Return to schools

Schools across North Lanarkshire will return from Wednesday 12th of August. Our head teachers have been working hard to go through every part of the Scottish Government guidance and we’ve decided that this return will be phased until Friday 14th of August to allow pupils to familiarise themselves with new routines, changes to buildings and hygiene measures.

For Primary Schools

• Wednesday 12th August: Primary One, Two & Three will be in school.
• Thursday 13th August: Primary Four, Five, Six & Seven will be in school.
• Friday 14th of August: all pupils will be in school.
