Dear Parents & Carers,

Senior management were delighted to chat with most of our families this
week and catch up with your activities. If we didn’t manage to get you we will try again next week.

We know how difficult it is trying to juggle working from home and helping your child(ren) with home
learning. We are humbled and overwhelmed with the uptake.

Please do not put pressure on your child or yourself to complete everything that is
set, move on and start afresh the next day.

We are in school every day and only a phone call away, we are here for you.
Please do not hesitate to contact us even if for a chat!

Take care,

Senior Management Team

06.01.2021 –

Please be assured that the Glow website, Sumdog app or website and Education City websites are all accessible from Android and IOS phones, tablets and IPads. You should not feel the need to buy a laptop, nor should each child require a device of their own for the duration of the school day. Please follow the instructions in the links to download the Teams app, where you can access your child’s learning activities at the start of each day, and upload your documents/photographs of your work towards the end of each day. Your child can also access Glow through their PlayStation or XBox if they are lucky enough to have one!
Thank you so much for your support during this challenging time. Please get in touch if you need any more assistance at all. We hope you and your family had a safe, happy and holy Christmas, and look forward to seeing you soon.
Take care and stay safe

Please ensure you are following the most up to date Government guidelines with regards to quarantine and isolation. (See the link below) If your child is ill in school displaying COVID symptoms, we will contact you asking you to come and collect them promptly.  There is an isolation room set aside in the school for your child to remain until they are collected.

If your child is displaying any signs or symptoms at home related to COVID, have them tested and await the results before they return to school.  Please inform the school if your child is having a test and of the results.  A negative result would allow them to return to school, however a positive result would require the household to self-isolate for the recommended period of time.

Today Pope Francis asks us to pray with him and to pray for our world at this current time. All he is asking us to do is have a moment of peace at 11am this morning and say one Our Father.

Just like at assembly we want you to think of something kind and good you could do today. Think of:

  • something kind you could say to someone
  • something kind you could do for someone.

Keep working hard at home children, it might be school work, helping around the house or out in the garden. Be good for your mums and dads and when we are back together we will have a big party to celebrate. We miss you and love you all.

Mrs Hagerty and Mrs McBride.
