About Us""

St. Ignatius Primary School is a Roman Catholic primary school in Wishaw. We are part of St. Ignatius Parish within the Motherwell Diocese, and we are proud to serve our local community through strong faith values, high-quality learning, and a warm, nurturing ethos.

We currently have a school roll of 180 children across 8 classes, as well as a thriving nursery class of 48 children. Our modern and welcoming building provides a positive learning environment where every child is known, valued, and supported to achieve their best.

At St. Ignatius Primary, our mission is to nurture confident, capable, and compassionate young people. From Primary 1 to Primary 7, we encourage every child to recognise their strengths, take pride in their efforts, and show kindness and respect to one another.

We provide meaningful and engaging learning experiences that prepare our pupils for the world around them, equipping them with the skills and values they need for life in the 21st century. Our dedicated staff team works tirelessly to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring atmosphere where children flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.

We are also fortunate to have strong and supportive relationships with our parents, carers, and Parent Council. Working together ensures the very best outcomes for all our children.

I invite you to explore our website to learn more about life at St. Ignatius Primary. If you have any questions or would like to arrange a visit, please contact our school office by phone or email.

We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful school.
