Busy Room 13
We have been really busy since coming back after the Easter Holidays. We have been preparing for P7 by meeting our buddies who we will look after in August. In technology we have continued to create and programme Lego models using the WeDo Education software. The class are thrilled to have some new outdoor fitness equipment fitted thanks to the pupil council group.
Reminder
Please remember that tomorrow is sports day and pupils should try to wear the colours of their house! Good luck everyone!
Easter Week
This week we have been recalling the events of the Easter Story in class. It has been great to see so many P6 children attending Lenten mass in the mornings at St Aidan’s. It would be great to see even more P6 pupils attending this week as it is Holy Week.
Cake and Candy
Busy Week
Last week in class was a busy time for P6. We have been rehearsing for the school show ‘Alice in Wonderland’. If anyone hasn’t brought their t-shirt in could they do this for Wednesday at the latest. Make sure your t-shirt is in a bag with your name on it.
On Friday we will be having a cake and candy to raise money for SCIAF. My favourite is tablet (hope someone in room 13 makes some) and crispy cakes!. What will you be making for cake and candy?
We have a winner!
We had some really good news in class. Caitlin Shear one the Daily Mail writing competition. We are really proud of her! The deputy editor came in and presented Caitlin with her prize. Well done Caitlin we are so proud of you!
Busy Bees
We have been working really hard in Room 13 over the last couple of weeks. We went to Bubblegum and Fluff along with P6 from Calderbridge primary in St Mark’s Parish Church. We learned about the true meaning of Christmas. Building on what we learned, Mr McKenna told us all about the Jesse Tress and we helped make the symbols cards to be attached to it.

Marie Curie Bulbs
We have been planting bulbs for Marie Currie Cancer Care. We made a fine mess in the process but the bulbs are now safely tucked away in Mr McKenna’s cupboard ready to grow in the Spring.
