This term, one of our books is Dragon Fire!We just started it and its really good, it is taking r13 on a journey.Our topic is China we made Chinese lantarns we have decorated them with pen and paper.Our maths is really fun right now,we are doing units of measure it is really hard but we are having so much fun because there are games involved.Best of all is P.E it gives us a chance to explore what we can do.

This term, one of our reading books will be Dragon Fire.

In room 13 they’re reading Storm Breaker and in topic they have been learning about natural disasters and hurricanes and volcanoes. In maths they have been learning place value.

This week in P.E we had the best time ever! We started off by playing the tails game and then we played line tig.We then played the hoop game where if you step in or on the hoop you lose but to make it hard you spin around the hoop and try and push each other in. We then played ultimate dodge-ball it was so fun. We then ended our P.E by playing another game of the hoop game.

F-Angles

Today we have been learning about F-Angles in maths. We learned that an F-Angle has an f shape and has a set of parallel lines.

Today was sports day. There were very many events such as:

Obstacle course

Sack race

Basketball

Hit the target (It’s like darts)

Parachute

Hockey run

Penalties

Egg and spoon race

Pass it on

Bean bag in the hoop

Everyone had a great time and even the nursery joined in. At the start we had to do the opening ceremony where everyone did a dance.At the end everyone had fun,but the winners were England.

The Primary sevens have just got back from their two days induction and High School sports day. We won our sports day and enjoyed our two induction days.

At the sports day we did Judo, Indoor Bowling , Long Jump , Sprint Race ,badminton,netball and Hurdles. At our induction day one we got our new classes and tutor classes , had lunch and enjoyed a play and a cyber bullying video.There was also a fire bell and we didn’t get outside because of the rain . At our second induction day it was really quite the same as the first. We went to our tutor classes, had lunch and watched two plays. One of the plays was in French and about being greedy and the other was about bullying. The only difference on the second day was we got outside.

Today is Monday and yesterday was Pentecost Sunday. Right now we are writing a bit about Pentecost Sunday in our R.E. jotters. We went to gym and we played lots of fun games not dodgeball sadly; P.E. was fun. We played line tig; a game where you must follow the lines on the floor in the gym hall and run away from tiggers. We also played tail tag which is where you are given a band as a tail. After that we practised standing long jump seeing how high we could jump. Mrs Neilly stuck a piece of blu-tac to the wall and we had to jump to reach it. Last week we made  planets and space rockets in art, it was fun. We are reading two new books. P7 are reading John Grisham’s Theodore Boone. And p6 are reading a book called The Mystery of Mapplesham Market by Linda Newbery.

This week is Money Week! We have been doing lots about money. It is in every subject that we have been working on – even writing! Yesterday we completed money problems in maths and we considered the differences and similarities between credit, debit, store and store reward cards.

Yesterday during music time we made up our own money raps. We also went outside and created our very own maths games using the equipment in the playground.

Today we learned a new French song about food and how to pay for it using Euros. We learned the names for different shops and played a mix and match game with some money cards. They had a price in numbers and a price in French.
