Room 13 took part in a mini election along with room 12 and 14 to select a fun afternoon theme. The Lazy Gang are the winners and we look forward to our lazy afternoon on Friday!
Mr McKenna and his new Primary 6 class have settled well into Room 13 this year.
Their PE days are Mondays and Thursdays.
We now have 8 chicks hatched and one egg started to crack when I left school today at 5.45pm. Hopefully it wont be long until the eggs have all hatched!
As part of our Living Eggs Project, we have received 10 eggs in an incubator today. We are responsible for taking care of them and very soon they will hatch into lovely, fluffy spring chicks. Click on the link below to see them via live web cam:

We are very excited about seeing them hatch and grow!
This week we been reading a class novel called Divided City it is based in Glasgow we are also performing a rendition of this with the Primary 7 from Calder Bridge Primary School.
In class we have been reading a new book. It is called Divided City. It is about two boys that believe in different religions and who support other teams. They become best of friends because of a football game when Joe crossed it in to Graham and Graham finished it off with a stunning strike.
This term we have been doing our China topic still, it has been more exciting than last term. These past few weeks we have been doing Chinese art. Just the other day we created a Chinese red envelope with our own design on it.
