Last November there freak snowstorm, it hurt the whole of the Eastern United States, cutting power to hundreds of thousands of people, tragically it killed at least 22 people.
In Massachusetts, at least six deaths were related to the storm. Four of the deaths were linked to carbon monoxide poisoning; one person was electrocuted by a downed power line and one person died in a house fire blamed on the storm, he said.

My famous day was in 1961 and it was when the Berlin wall was built. It was during the night of the 13 August. The builders quickly build the wall along the border. Most people were sleeping so whatever side of the wall they woke up on would be the side they would stay on. It split up Berlin for 3 decades.
On September 11, 2001 there was a terrorist attack in New York. The twin towers were struck by 2 passenger planes hijacked by terrorists. This was a very frightning moment.

For my event that has happened in the last 60 years i have chosen to wright about Japans tsunami and Earthquake. This happened on Friday the 11th of march 2011.
This was one of the largest earthquakes ever to hit japan the epicenter was in the Pacific ocean and was a magnitude of 8.9 this also hit Hawaii hours late it caused no damage but when it hit japan it was devastating!
The earthquake caused a tsunami that was 12m high higher than their flood defenses and it traveled at a speed of a jet.
the tsunami caused 5,854 deaths, 26,992 injured, and 3,155 people are still missing. The country is struggling to rebuild its towns and city’s.
