Blogging Homework

Use a newspaper or the internet (www.XE.com) to find the current exchange rate of the £GBP against another currency.  Type the country, the currency and the ratio.

For example,  Spain uses the Euro and exchange rate is £1: €1.25

Try not to choose a currency thatg someone else has already completed so look at the responses before you reply.

Homework

Hopefully the Photocopier/Printer will be repaired today and homework can be given out.

This week :

Thursday:  Maths Homework

Friday:  Newspaper Report

Reading pages have also to be carried out and will be posted later today.

Media Masters

Last week the school purchased some brand new Ipads. Mr Smith is organising a
Media Master group for p6 and p7. These  people have the job of looking after the Ipads and to erase the history. They will be trained how to use them correctly by Mr Smith and will then help younger classes.

Active maths – Currency

In class we have been learning about currencies.  Some currencies we have been learning  the Dollar, euro,USD and the Mexican Peso.  Today we played different active maths games to help us learn more about this subject.

Adam – My favourite game is the pairs game where we had to match amounts in British pound to foreign currencies.

Blair – My favourite game is the  travelagents board game  where we had to go on the ipods and look at the latest currencies in real life.

WWII – Art

In class we have been studying famous people in World War 2.  So far we have looked at Neville Chamberlain, Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler.  Today we started creating charcoal drawings of these people that we hope turn out well.  So far so good!

WWII

Dean brought in artefacts from the war belonging to his Great Uncle.  It was great to look at real artefacts.

Jake brought in a model of the German battleship “The Bismark”
