Spelling Homework

This week we have been learning more suffixes in our spelling lesson.  We are looking at the suffixes:- “ant” “ent” “or” “er”

This suffix means -someone who.

For example someone who bakes is a baker

Can you list an example of each suffix on the blog.

Reading Characters

Imagine you have to do a summary for a school blog on a character.  Your audience has no knowledge of the character ir the story.  You have to tell some key info in NO MORE than 50 words.  Write a response on the blog.

Blue Group – Kallik

Red Group – Lizzie

Green Group – Michael

Reading Pages

Today everyone was issued with a new reading book.

Blue Group – Seekers: The Quest Begins p1-57

Red Group – An Elephant in the Garden p1-55

Green Group – The Santa Maria p7-34

I hope you enjoy your new reading books.  Why not post a comment to let the class know your first impression of your new novel.

Blogging Homework

Use a newspaper or the internet (www.XE.com) to find the current exchange rate of the £GBP against another currency.  Type the country, the currency and the ratio.

For example,  Spain uses the Euro and exchange rate is £1: €1.25

Try not to choose a currency thatg someone else has already completed so look at the responses before you reply.
