{"id":337,"date":"2020-06-05T12:55:41","date_gmt":"2020-06-05T12:55:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/OrbistonandSacredHeartNurseryClasses\/?p=337"},"modified":"2020-06-05T12:58:28","modified_gmt":"2020-06-05T12:58:28","slug":"sort-count-maths-bottles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/OrbistonandSacredHeartNurseryClasses\/2020\/06\/05\/sort-count-maths-bottles\/","title":{"rendered":"Sort &amp; Count Maths Bottles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good Afternoon boys and girls \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Below is a numeracy activity that will develop your maths &amp; motor skills:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><b>maths:<\/b> recognising numerals, counting using 1:1 correspondence, sorting and matching by colour, counting up to 10 and beyond.<\/div>\n<div><b>motor skills:<\/b> using control and precision to pick up and drop small materials, pincer grasp, hand\/eye co-ordination.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"shrinkToFit\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-Gbmhdg4G4jk\/UTIvQju13LI\/AAAAAAAANMY\/oDr4RGBSO3o\/s1600\/filling+bottles+with+pom+poms.jpg\" alt=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/-Gbmhdg4G4jk\/UTIvQju13LI\/AAAAAAAANMY\/oDr4RGBSO3o\/s1600\/filling+bottles+with+pom+poms.jpg\" width=\"502\" height=\"382\" \/><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Ask an adult to take four 1 litre sized water bottles and cut a hole near the bottom of each, leaving a little lip so that pom poms won\u2019t fall out when dropped in. Paint a thin band of colour around each one, using acrylic paint, which adheres well to plastic.
