Welcome to Newmains Nursery Class. We provide learning activities experiences for children aged 3-5 years old. Our class provides 30 places in the morning and 30 places in the afternoon. The children’s learning is based on the Curriculum for Excellence experiences and outcomes at the early level. We want our children to be happy, safe and secure when they are with us. Our staff will encourage our children to be:
* Successful Learners * Confident Individuals * Responsible Citizens * Effective Contributors

The children learn through play and we offer a variety of experiences for them. Our latest Social Care and Social Work Improvement inspection report can be obtained from www.scswis.com
We were awarded the following grades:

We have a strong reputation in our community and are very proud of the positive relationships we have developed with parents and partners. Our Nursery Class is a Health Promoting Nursery. We have achieved GOLD status. Health and Wellbeing will continue to remain a focus of our work.

We welcome students from Motherwell College into our class to learn about child development in an early years setting. Teaching students from various universities in Scotland also join us for placements.

We introduced a new polo-shirt and sweater as a uniform for the children. These items can be purchased from National Schoolwear in Wishaw.
