Scotland

We have started our new topic and the first thing we did was try to find Scotland on our globe. We found it straight away.

It was a very small country!

We also found America and Ewan said it was a very big country.

We spoke about some castles in Scotland. Rebecca told us about the castle in Edinburgh!

We had to find some super facts about Scotland for our homework. Hopefully we will get them on our webpage soon.

ay, ow, ea

We had a tricky week because we had to remember all these new sounds.

We had lots of activities to help us remember them.

We put our sounds in green, we underline our sounds during dictation,

we also played the paper plate game.

Fun,fun, fun

We had a fabulous week with lots of different double games.

We even got the chance to make our own design double dominoes

Jack loved the house game “It was fun because i got to play with my friends”

Adam loved the card game because he managed to get

doubles easily!

Lucy loved the designing of the dominoes because she

likes to draw.

Eilidh also loved the house game because it was fun with two dice.

Exciting News

These boys worked really hard at home on their school project. One boy made a whole space scene with his dad and sister. They used lots of super things to make it.

One boy made a spaceman and a rocket attached to it. He used lots of reclyclable things from home.

Both boys got to tell the whole school about their wonderful work at assembly. They got a special certificate for their hard work!! Well done

Money Trees

We made money trees by drawing a tree trunk and branches.

Then we got some coins, put them under the paper and rubbed them with crayons to make the leaves. We made sure our leaves were really neat by holding the coin tightly between our thumbs and fingers.

ICT and money

We played the shopping game on the internet. we had to scan the item to see how much it cost. We had to choose the correct coins to pay for the item.  We think this activity was great,  fun, awesome and excellent. Perhaps we could play this game at home.

Money Games

We played The Money Man where we had to match the coins to make the man. We knew all the coins up to a £1 coin.

We also played dominoes. It was quite tricky at first but then we knew what to do. We had to match the same amount of coins.

These games were delightful, fantastic and fabulous!
