{"id":7598,"date":"2020-12-15T18:30:52","date_gmt":"2020-12-15T17:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/MuirStreet\/?p=7598"},"modified":"2020-12-15T18:30:52","modified_gmt":"2020-12-15T17:30:52","slug":"registration-of-infant-beginners-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/MuirStreet\/2020\/12\/15\/registration-of-infant-beginners-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Registration of Infant Beginners 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Registration of Infant Beginners 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Children who attain the age of 5 years between 1 March 2021 and 28 February 2022 should register for starting Primary 1 in August 2021.<\/p>\n<p>A new system for Registration of Infant Beginners has been put in place to support our ongoing response to COVID-19.\u00a0 A new online registration form has been created and guidelines are below.\u00a0 A deadline of 22<sup>nd<\/sup> January 2021 has been set for return of all forms.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/school-admissions\/registration-of-infant-beginners\">Enrolment<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/school-admissions\/placing-requests\">Placing Request<\/a> forms are now available for parents\/carers to complete online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Completed application forms should be sent to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>enquiries@muirstreet.n-lanark.sch.uk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please ensure you include a scanned or a screen shot of your child\u2019s birth certificate and council tax\/utility bill.\u00a0 Please check each child&#8217;s birth certificate to ensure that they are within the correct age group.\u00a0 If this is not the case, then the child cannot be registered for enrolment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Placing request forms can be emailed to <a href=\"mailto:ef.placingrequest@northlan.gov.uk\">ef.placingrequest@northlan.gov.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/school-transport\/free-school-transport\">Transport forms<\/a> are also available online and paper copies can be requested from <a href=\"mailto:ef.transport@northlan.gov.uk\">ef.transport@northlan.gov.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Choosing a school booklet can be downloaded from the Scottish Government website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scotland.gov.uk\/Publications\/2010\/11\/10093528\/0\">www.scotland.gov.uk\/Publications\/2010\/11\/10093528\/0<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Parents\/carers who wish to make an early entry request should contact their catchment area school for an application form or download from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/\">www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk<\/a> following the links for \u2018Early Entry Requests\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Due to difficulties in the past, each child&#8217;s birth certificate and proof of address in the form of the current council tax bill\/utility bill must be produced.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Muir Street Primary will arrange a webex meeting or telephone call for parents\/carers to complete paper work where necessary or where further discussion is needed to clarify information for the enrolment form, e.g medical\/allergy information.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0If you wish for your child to be enrolled for Gaelic Medium education, all enquiries should be directed to Mrs Price, Head teacher, Condorrat Primary School, tel. no. 01236 794826<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Registration of Infant Beginners 2021 Children who attain the age of 5 years between 1 March 2021 and 28 February 2022 should register for starting Primary 1 in August 2021.
