I can&#8217;t believe we have made it to week 4 of learning from home! I am overwhelmed by how hard you have all been working and you continue to amaze me each day with your extremely positive mindsets\u00a0<span id=\"\ud83d\ude01\">\ud83d\ude01<span id=\"\ud83c\udf1f\">\ud83c\udf1f<\/span><\/span><span id=\"\ud83c\udf08\">\ud83c\udf08 I am so glad to see you all staying safe at home and spending quality time with your families.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/MuirStreet\/files\/2020\/04\/start-monday-smile-typography-poster-sun-clouds-dark-background-quote-new-begginings-starts-motivational-office-118976954-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6607 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/MuirStreet\/files\/2020\/04\/start-monday-smile-typography-poster-sun-clouds-dark-background-quote-new-begginings-starts-motivational-office-118976954-1-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"209\" height=\"209\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are this weeks\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/MuirStreet\/files\/2020\/04\/Week-4-Home-Learning-Grid.pdf\">Home Learning Grids<\/a>\u00a0with some suggested activities for you to do each day. I will also send these to your GLOW emails and upload them to our Microsoft Teams page along with your <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/MuirStreet\/files\/2020\/04\/Week-4-Spelling-Words-1.pdf\">Spelling Words<\/a>. Please remember that these are suggestions and you do not have to complete every activity. Just do the best you can\u00a0\ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Literacy<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Most of you seem to be enjoying\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.spellingcity.com\">Spelling City<\/a>\u00a0. I have assigned new activities with this weeks words. Spend 10-15minutes on them.<\/li>\n<li>If the weather is nice, try to spell each of your spelling words outside with chalks, sticks, stones etc. Be creative! I can&#8217;t wait to see what you come up with\u00a0\ud83d\ude0a<\/li>\n<li>Reading &#8211; Listen to David Walliams new story online (chapters 6-8):\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldofdavidwalliams.com\/elevenses\/\">David Walliams Story<\/a>\u00a0and create a visualiser about the main character. Remember to include key facts, detailed descriptions and page numbers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Maths<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Log in to Sumdog every day to practise your quick recall for times tables.<\/li>\n<li>Make a hundred square and highlight\/colour all of the prime numbers.<\/li>\n<li>Can you think of any other activities you could do with your hundred square?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Health &amp; Well-being<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make a card or postcard for someone you miss or someone you want to say thanks to.<\/li>\n<li>If you know their address you could even post it to them to cheer them up.
