Hello  boys and girls 🧡

Hope you are all well 🧡We have made it through one while school week at home 🏡. Today you can pop into Study Ladder if you can and do any of the tasks you have still to finish 📝

If you can write or draw a picture of your favourite thing about this week and the one thing you are missing . Keep this safe and we will add to it each week 👍

Try to do something active today since we normally have PE 🏃. Mrs Doyle has been doing Joe Wicks with Grace and Connall every morning 💪

Since it’s Friday ask your mum or dad if you deserve your star 🌟? 😄

Also you have worked very hard so you deserve some Golden Time 🎉Play with a toy or game haven’t played with in a while 😄

Just a little reminder of some of the activities you can be doing at home today.

  • Literacy  – Use your studyladder account and practise some of the phonics activities I have uploaded for you.
  • Storyline Online – Listen to your favourite story. Maybe you could draw me a picture of your favourite character and post it on our twitter page.
  • Numeracy – Try some of the activities on your sumdog account.
  • If you want to try something nice and relaxing why not try this Zen Den activity:    –

Good afternoon everybody,

If anybody is having trouble remembering how to log into their glow account follow the instructions below.

Access internet

Type in Glow rm unify in search engine

Using your online learning pack insert your Glow username and password remembering to be careful when using small and capital letters.

Once you have logged in to the website click on the left icon on the main screen that looks like a small house. This  will take you to the school glow page.

On this page there are a variety of resources including the School Blog page and also Microsoft outlook.

If you click on the Microsoft outlook you will be able to access your class group email that I am sending out each morning, it will be in your inbox.

You can also reply to the email by clicking on the backwards arrow and send me a message and upload any work you may have completed.

You can also click on new message and send me a message that way also.

Primary 7-Room 13 and 14

Good Morning Primary 7,

I hope you are all well 🙂

Primary 7 tasks are being sent out daily to your personal Glow accounts. Today’s tasks are:

Numeracy-A Pizza Hut chilli challenge. Please read the menu carefully and answer the questions on the mild, hot or spicy cards.

Literacy-A summary of what you are all doing to keep busy at home. I have sent you all question prompts to help you with this. I would ask you to type this up and send it back to me if you can 🙂

Art-I have sent out step-by-step Disney drawings, these are fun to do and make drawing Disney characters easy. I would be very interested to see how you get on with these if you are able to take a picture and send them to me.

P.E-Joe Wicks ‘The Body Coach’ daily workout on Youtube.

Room 1 & Room 2 – Thu 26th March

Good morning boys and girls, I hope you are all well.

Here are today’s tasks:

1. Literacy – choose some of your common words and practise them in any way you want.

– think of as many words as you can that rhyme with cat, ball and pin.

2. Numeracy – collect 10 things from around your house and try these tasks.  (a) Put them in order from smallest to largest.  (b) Sort them into groups by shape.  (c) Sort them into groups by colour.  (d) Sort them in any way you want.

3. Art – choose a mindfulness colouring sheet from your home learning pack and try and stay in the lines when you colour.

4. RME – watch a video or read about the Easter Story.

Thursday 26th March

Good Morning boys and girls! Hope you are all well and behaving. Some tasks for today are:

Literacy:

  • Common Words –   take      gave      cold      don’t 
    Write a sentence for each word. (Remember capital letters and full stops!)
  • Partner read a story from home or online with someone from home.David Walliams is reading a short story every day, so this might be a nice change!

  • If you need something calming try Cosmic Kids Yoga on YouTube. There are lots of different fun videos to try.
  • In health we have been learning about emotions. Can you make an emotions alphabet and see if you can find an emotion for each letter.

Try drawing a picture of a rainbow and sticking it to your window to brighten someone’s day!

Please only do what you can, remember these are only suggestions.

Good morning boys and girls,

Hope you all and your family continue to stay well. I continue to think of you all!

Some suggestions for today:Maths/Numeracy

  • Mental Agility-Sumdog account ( 15 minutes maximum)
  • Interactive- Study Ladder website- Choose some activities Multiplication (10 minutes max.)
  • Pencil Activity-Choose an activity or two from your Multiplication Booklet.

Literacy

Common Words:   walk      water      picture     once     until

  1. Ask a parent/sibling to ask you to spell each word either orally (out loud) or write them down without looking.
  2. Literacy- Log on to Espresso- Go to First Level, select English and scroll to Traditional Tales –select activities and complete the two activities linked to Cinderella- Cinderella’s Story Cloud and Cinderella’s Quiz.

  1. Listen/Watch-Select Videos and watch and listen to the story Jack and the Beanstalk.

  1. Complete activities- Jack and the Beanstalk-Grammar activity-Verbs and Time and then Jack and the Beanstalk Quiz.

Thursday 26th March

Good morning everybody. I hope you are all well. I have listed your tasks below and included some extra tasks which you can explore. There is a television programme linking to our IDL topic and story telling by David Walliams. Have fun.

Literacy – Log into studyladder and complete the next 5 activites within the module set.

Numeracy – Log into studyladder and complete the next 5 activites within the module set.

Health and Wellbeing – Help to make lunch or dinner with an adult today – remember to colour in your home learning grid activity sheet. I am planning to make banana and plum loaf for pudding tonight.

Science – What’s on at the Science Centre today? Search and find out online. The program will be available on the Science Centre web page at 10am or you can access through you tube. https://www.glasgowsciencecentre.org/gsc-at-home  You can link to the science centre show at other times.

At 10am this morning on the BBC Scotland channel there will be a BBC Bitesize programme aimed at primary level about William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and castles. Room 5 Thursday 26th of March 🦄

Hope you are all well room 5 and continue to behave 😜

Today if you can have a look at the common word list I gave you and practise some of these in anyway you wish 📝

I have put plenty of maths games in Study Ladder to keep you busy but if you can today focus on revising time 🕛o’clock , half past , quarter to and quarter past 🕦

In health we were ready to start cooking but I’ll be honest Mrs Doyle’s not very good at cooking 🙈If you have a wee minute watch this man he’s far better than me 😄
